A fascinating tour that will introduce you to the history of Stirling, with its famous Castle, and the natural beauty of the Loch Lomond National Park.

We start our tour with a drive to Glasgow, Scotland’s largest city. Our panoramic tour will introduce you to some of Glasgow’s highlights including Glasgow Cathedral, which dates from Norman times; George Square and the City Chambers (Town Hall) and Glasgow University which is situated in the leafy west end of the city.

Next we cross the River Clyde and drive to the "bonnie, bonnie banks" of Loch Lomond. We will stop in Balloch where you can enjoy an optional cruise on the loch, enjoy a walk in the village or visit the nearby Loch Lomond National Park Visitor Centre.

Later we will make our way to the picturesque village of Aberfoyle, gateway to The Trossachs, where we will stop for lunch (not included).

The Trossachs is a wonderful area of lochs and wild mountain vistas. We start by climbing the dramatic Dukes Pass then travel along the gentle banks of Loch Achray and Loch Venachar. Our scenic drive continues to Callander, a pleasant tourist town that became popular in Victorian times and onwards to Doune, with its 14th Century castle.

Stirling is our next treat. Here there is an opportunity to visit Stirling Castle. The castle overlooks the ancient city of Stirling and is one of the historic buildings that have come to symbolise the spirit of Scotland. Our extended stop in Stirling will allow a leisurely visit to the Castle or the chance to explore the town itself.

As we make our way homewards towards Edinburgh we will pass the attractive town of Linlithgow with its palace ruins overlooking a lovely loch. It was here that Mary, Queen of Scots was born in 1542.

Admission to Stirling Castle is not included - £8.50 payable locally.

The optional cruise on Loch Lomond costs £6.50 per person and can be purchased locally from your guide.
